Celebrating National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month. Not only is it a time to honour the history, diversity, and strength of Indigenous peoples across Canada but also an important time to consider how we can continue to support and empower Indigenous led research across Canada.

At BioCanRx. we are committed to promoting and strengthening Indigenous students’ participation in cancer research, policy and careers. Our Indigenous Student Summer Internship Program, in partnership with the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and the Canadian Cancer Society, provides Indigenous undergraduate university or college students with meaningful hands-on research or policy experience in cancer-related projects at post-secondary institutions across Canada. The program promotes and strengthens Indigenous students’ participation in research, and provides networking, mentorship, and hands-on, practical experience opportunities.

Learn how our past and current participants are looking to make an impact and how BioCanRx and our partners are supporting them along their journey.
