Dr. Megan Mahoney

Director, Scientific Affairs and Training Programs

Dr. Megan Mahoney is the Director of Scientific Affairs and Training Programs at BioCanRx, where she leads the strategic and operational delivery of a national translational research and training portfolio focused on advancing Canadian cancer immunotherapy innovations toward clinical trial. Her work spans translational research strategy, funding program development, partnership building, and workforce training across the health research ecosystem. Working at the intersection of research, health system translation, and innovation strategy, she designs and lead initiatives that connect discovery science with clinical and commercial pathways. Prior to joining BioCanRx, Megan was Operations Manager for the Biotherapeutics Manufacturing Centre (BMC) Virus Facility at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. In this role, she oversaw the operational activities of the BMC, which specializes in virus and vaccine development and manufacturing services for products destined for pre-clinical and clinical research. As a passion project, Megan founded and advises on a national graduate student mentorship program through the Science to Business Network.
