Julie Jonkhans joined BioCanRx in 2024 as the Training and Research Manager. With a background in training and development, Julie brings a passion for delivering high-quality training that bridges talent gaps and strengthens expertise for the workforce. She is excited to bring this experience to advance the translational research pipeline in cancer therapeutics.
Prior to joining BioCanRx, Julie was the Doctoral Professional Development Coordinator at Western University. In this role, she led the implementation of projects and programs aimed at bridging the gap between academia and the workforce. She collaborated with various stakeholders including student affairs professionals, academics, industry experts, and external funders to lead initiatives spanning skill literacy & development, micro-credentials, program evaluation, and employer outreach to cultivate a robust talent pool and promote the translation of research expertise to various sectors of the workforce.
Julie received her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Western University in 2017.
