Dr. Josée Brisebois

Executive Consultant, Biopharma & Health Sciences Sectors

Dr. Josée Brisebois is an executive consultant in the biopharma and health sciences sectors, leveraging more than 25 years of experience to support organizations in translating breakthrough science into better patient outcomes.
Until recently, Josée was the Head of Medical Affairs with oversight of Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations and Medical Information at Incyte Biosciences in Canada. Prior to that, she was the Country Medical Director at Gilead/Kite, responsible for medical activities in oncology, cell therapy, HIV, as well as liver and inflammatory diseases. She also held leadership positions at Merck Canada in Medical Affairs (infectious disease, vaccines, respiratory, oncology), Medical Information and Clinical Research.

After completing her MSc at Université de Montréal and her PhD in Microbiology & Immunology at McGill University, she pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Boehringer Ingelheim (Laval, QC) with a focus on pre-clinical drug discovery.

Over the years, Josée has helped launch multiple transformative therapies and developed a robust knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape from drug discovery to market access and commercialisation, while liaising with a broad range of stakeholders including academic, industry, public health and patient organizations. She also served on global pharma work streams, and on a Medical advisory IMC sub-committee. She is currently a lecturer at McGill University (MIMM 387 “The Business of Science”) and is a past lecturer (“Vaccine Development”) at the Faculté de pharmacie, Université de Montréal.
