David Poon is a seasoned biotechnology business executive and research scientist with a passion for enabling innovations through strategic partnerships and translating ideas into clinical therapeutic candidates.

During his 18+ years in the Canadian biotechnology ecosystem, David led the growth of multiple companies through pivotal scientific contributions and strategic transactions, notably spearheading multi-billion dollar pharma collaborations while at Zymeworks and advancing Ziihera® towards regulatory approval.

David is currently the Co-Founder and Head of Business for DCx Biotherapeutics Corp. and he is also advising start-ups as a Director with SynapticBio Strategic Advisors Inc. in addition to serving as a Director with Life Sciences British Columbia. David obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of British Columbia.
